Terms of sale
These terms cover buying a Voxbound licence. The end-user licence agreement covers using the software once you have it, and the refund and withdrawal policy covers cancelling or refunding a purchase.
Who you're buying from
Voxbound is sold by A Ford, trading as Voxbound, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@voxbound.app. We're adding a postal trading address here shortly; until then, please use the email above for anything that needs a written reply.
What you're buying
A personal licence to install and use the Voxbound Windows desktop application, as described on this site, under the terms of the end-user licence agreement. It's a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Use by or for a business, charity, public body or client project needs a separate business licence — contact us before you buy if that applies to you.
Price and payment
The price is shown in euros on this site (currently €9.99). Where your card is billed in a different currency, an approximate local amount may be shown at checkout for convenience; the actual amount charged, and any currency-conversion fee, are set by our payment processor, Gumroad, and your card provider — not by us. Gumroad, Inc. (or its applicable affiliate) is the merchant of record for the sale: it processes your payment, issues your receipt, and is responsible for calculating and collecting any sales tax or VAT due on the purchase. We never see or store your card details.
Delivery
Voxbound is delivered digitally only — there's no physical product. On successful payment, Gumroad sends you an automated email with your licence key and a download link. Delivery is normally immediate. If you don't receive it within a reasonable time, check your spam folder and then contact support@voxbound.app with your order details.
System requirements
Voxbound needs Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime, which comes with Windows 11 and most up-to-date Windows 10 PCs; the app offers the free download if it's missing. An internet connection is needed once, to activate your licence key, and is used for optional features (automatic book-metadata lookup, checking for updates) — the app works offline for merging audio once activated.
Your right to cancel
If you're buying as a consumer in the UK or EU, you'd normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase without giving a reason. Because Voxbound is digital content delivered to you immediately after payment, that right ends once delivery has started, and only because buying it is treated as you asking us to begin delivery straight away and confirming you understand that doing so ends your 14-day cancellation right for this purchase. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including the right to a repair, replacement or refund if the software is faulty, not fit for purpose, or not as described. These rights exist regardless of anything in these terms or in the refund and withdrawal policy, and vary depending on the consumer-protection law of the country where you live.
Complaints
If something's gone wrong with an order, email support@voxbound.app with your order number and what happened. We aim to reply within a reasonable time and will try to sort it out directly with you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the version that applies to your purchase is the one published here at the time you buy. The current version is always at this page, dated above.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or the EU, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your own country continue to apply, and you may be able to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country as well as in England and Wales.
